Meet Our Coaches

Travis Mitchell

Owner and Head Coach of Player Development

Travis started The Factory from inside The Sandlot facility back in 2017.  In that time he’s grown The Factory from obscurity to one of the most widely known and respected sports training facilities in Colorado.  Travis is more than just a sports performance coach to his athletes; He is a mentor, a rehab specialist, a college recruiter, a skills coach, and most importantly, a lifelong friend.

Travis holds a bachelors of science from Colorado State University where he was a D1 All-American Rugby player.  Travis served as a Smokejumper for the U.S. Forest Service for 7 years before beginning his career in training athletes.  From MLB All Stars to D1 studs to 6 year olds, Travis has worked with several hundred athletes, but lives and dies by the mantra of ‘treat everyone the same”.

Travis oversees all of the programming in the Factory, and works closely with the high school, college, and pro baseball and softball players.

Since 2015 Travis has been the hitting coach for Cherokee Trail H.S. Softball where his wife Caley Mitchell is the Head Coach. During that time CT is top two in 5A for wins, homers, and runs scored, and the team has reached the State Championship 3 times, winning it all once.

Travis lives in Castle Rock with Caley and their 6 year old son Luke, and their dog and Factory mascot Shipwreck.

    Nick Chevalier

Assistant Head Coach and Director of Sports Performance

Nick is C.S.C.S. certified, the Gold standard of Strength and conditioning certifications. He has a plethora of training experience, including an internship at Harvard where he had the opportunity to work with football, hockey, baseball/softball, and alpine skiing. Nick played college football, is a freak athlete, and still sets the standards for our top athletes. Nick works with all athletes in the Factory, but is the performance coordinator for the Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and Soccer athletes, as well as the head coach for the youth development and middle school prep programs.

Nick also works at StretchLab in Castle Rock. The experience and knowledge he’s gained in manual therapy and how the body moves has made Nick an incredible resource for Factory athletes.

  • Jordan Stubbings

    Coach

Everybody loves Jordo! Jordo went to Legend HS and went on to be a D2 All-American at Mesa where he won a National Championship and several Gold Gloves. At Mesa, Jordo earned his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. After getting married this year, Jordan is dedicating more time to family, but he is still involved in Bomb Squad and available for hitting lessons.

  • Ty Quintana

    Coach

A Castle Rock native, Ty went to DCHS and then on to play baseball at the University of Kansas and Ottawa university. Ty is now a Firefighter/EMT for the Larkspur Fire Department where he is Head Fitness & Health Coordinator for the entire department. Ty is also a Coach for the DCHS baseball team. Ty’s experience makes him another great utility asset for The Factory and adds value to most of our programs.

  • Lucas Campbell

    Coach

Lucas is a local Castle Rock kid who attended Castle View HS, where he was an elite athlete and one of the first athletes to ever come into The Factory and deadlift 3X his bodyweight.

Lucas had a choice between pursuing College baseball and a full ride to be part of the Central Florida Cheerleading team. Lucas chose UCF, and transferred to USF his senior year to win a national championship. His experience as a D1 College athlete, and the rigorous training that comes along with that, coupled with his knowledge and passion for baseball has made him a great utility player for The Factory. Lucas works with our youth development program as well as with Bomb Squad.

  • Shipwreck

Shipwreck is 2’8’’ and 60 LBS and pure athleticism. He holds the Factory record for the 40 yard dash at 3.2 seconds, and has a 40in vertical when chicken is suspended in the air.
